A note about me...
...or a short novel...you decide.
From my earliest memories, I was not only in church, I was at home in church. At the age of three, I knew I wanted to be a follower of Christ, at seven, I felt called to missions, and at thirteen, I was teaching Sunday School and writing devotionals.
In my teen years, I struggled with reconciling my faith with my own desire to always ‘fix’ things. I often felt a great deal of responsibility for friends’ salvation, that only years later would I realize, was never my burden to bear. In the midst of my first semester of college, I not only found myself trying to discern God's still small voice, but also, for the first time in my life, wondering if I belonged in Church at all.
Now many years later, I look back and rejoice, as God has brought me so far. I went from that feeling of only half belonging, to a deepened thankfulness that Christ is right here with me, while I look forward to an eternity where we may truly belong.

Today, I seek to be used by God for His glory. Currently, I am a Lawyer, working in an East-Coast city skyscraper. I volunteer at my home church, and aim to encourage those around me whether they are in my office, my Bible study, my friends and family, or my commute. I may never be a long-term, or international missionary, the way my seven-year-old self assumed I would be. Instead, I pray that God will use me where I am at, through the words I write.
May this space allow me to be, forever and always, 'just a little lighthouse'...
Love,
~J
